MEMORIAL DAY 2007

I've always loved Memorial Day because it's a time to reflect on those who died for our freedom.

We are in a different time here in the USA. Our Country is not as strong as it once was in many ways. Many have died for our freedom and many are fighting for it today. My son-in-law is in the Air Force and I am very proud of him. He takes this position very seriously and he's a good man. Thank you Anson Christian.

Memorial Day also makes me feel like it's the beginning of Summer. I've always loved Memorial Day because most years I'm doing something fun....going to the Lake, the Bay Area or spending it with friends.

This year is different because my little toes are not completely healed and the pins are still in them pinching me with almost every step I take. So, I decided not to go out of town and stay home with Ms. Lexie and take it easy. It's only until Thursday and I get the pins out. I can't wait. I'm ready to get going and back living life!!!!!

Ms. Lexie is getting a little spoiled with me here at home so much. I told her tonight that this is about to end. I'm training her to be a "watch cat"! I can't say that I'm making too much progress in that area. Only time will tell...She's growing like a weed though and still a lot of fun to have around.
